Bierrum have carried out the design, construction and repair of chimneys, cooling towers and silos in many countries of the world.

Normally, for new work, the main contract is taken directly by Bierrum and the design and construction is carried out in-house. Local Bierrum companies have been set up in Spain and Australia to cope with this type of operation.

Bierrum also frequently works overseas in JV with a local contractor. Bierrum offer to carry out the contract design in-house in UK, supply any specialist equipment (slipform rigs, hoists, concreting equipment and lifting jacks) and supply the site supervision for the project. The local contractor provides local administration, materials and labour.

This JV arrangement has proved effective and successful on many overseas projects, however Bierrum is open to consider any other form of commercial arrangement which a client or local contractor wishes to propose.
